Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Her first feature film appearance was a tiny role on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to take on the role of model. She then developed a career of commercial modelling. Doody strictly avoided the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. In the event that she was brought to director's notice for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named one of the top twelve promising young actors in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody came back to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule role on her role in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. The year 2004, she was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody was a character of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two years. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
